Support programme for specific priority water projects identified by Member States across Africa, focusing on integrated water-health-energy-food security nexus projects.
Objectives
Project Objectives:
- Support accelerated planning and financing of transboundary water projects
- Leverage USD 30 billion in climate resilient water investments
- Create at least 5 million jobs
- Support 550 million people with opportunities
- Create 2 million indirect jobs for vulnerable populations
- Create 250 thousand direct jobs
- Promote integrated corridor development approach
- Foster regional infrastructure development
- Accelerate project preparation and unblock stalled projects
