Addis Ababa: Establishing a Network of African Journalists to Shift Perspectives on Development in the Continent at Tel Quel Morrocco

In a move aimed at promoting a positive narrative on development in Africa, the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, witnessed the establishment of a network of African journalists on Sunday, November 24. The network seeks to monitor infrastructure projects and provide accurate information on the progress of the second phase of the Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa (PIDA-PAP2).

Zipporah Maubane, Head of Communications at the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD), emphasized the importance of African media addressing development from a supportive perspective, moving away from the negative focus often dominating Western media. This initiative is part of the 8th PIDA Week, which brings together officials and experts to discuss the current state and future prospects of infrastructure in the continent.
